The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy ships Qi Jiguang and Yimengshan arrived in southwest Cambodia's Sihanoukville on Friday, starting a four-day goodwill visit to the country. The ships in the Navy's Ship 83 (which is the bow number of Ship Qi Jiguang) fleet, which were carrying out an internship visit at high seas, docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port pier at 10:00 local time amid a warm welcome. More than 300 people, including staff members of the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Cambodia, representatives of Chinese-funded institutions, overseas Chinese, and representatives of the Cambodian government and military, came to the pier to greet the vessels. During the visit to Cambodia, the fleet commander will pay a visit to the governor of Sihanoukville province and the commander of the Royal Cambodian Navy, and to the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia for exchanges.
