SHOTLIST: - GAZA, PALESTINE (OCTOBER 11, 2025) (ANADOLU - ACCESS ALL) 1. RUINS OF PALESTINIAN RESIDENTIAL AREAS 2. REMNANTS OF ISRAELI MILITARY MUNITIONS 3. HEBREW WRITINGS LEFT BY ISRAELI SOLDIERS ON BUILDING WALLGAZA, PALESTINE - OCTOBER 11: As a ceasefire takes hold in Gaza, displaced Palestinians returning to their homes, which were reduced to ruins by Israeli bombardments, were met with the destruction left behind by Israeli forces. As part of Israel's plan to occupy the entire city—home to more than one million Palestinians—the Israeli forces struck Gaza City with airstrikes and artillery fire continuously for two years. Within the scope of the attacks, the Israeli forces targeted high-rise buildings across the city, leveling many structures that once symbolized the city’s post-occupation development. The assault also destroyed the coastal city’s restaurants, cafés, and entertainment venues. What remains are demolished homes and the remnants and debris of Israeli forces’ munitions and military vehicles. In addition, Hebrew writings left by Israeli soldiers were observed on the walls of many destroyed buildings. US President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of a 20-point plan he laid out on Sept. 29 to bring a ceasefire to Gaza, release all Israeli captives being held there in exchange for around 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, and a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the entire Gaza Strip. The first phase of the deal came into force at 12 noon local time Friday, Oct. 10, (0900 GMT). A second phase of the plan calls for the establishment of a new governing mechanism in Gaza without Hamas’ participation, the formation of a security force comprising Palestinians and troops from Arab and Islamic countries, and the disarmament of Hamas. Since October 2023, Israeli attacks have killed over 67,600 Palestinians in the enclave, most of them women and children, and rendered it uninhabitable.
