US, Phoenix: Phoenix Officer Injured In Hit-and-Run Collision

Phoenix, United States - October 10, 2025 10/10/2025 01:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to Phoenix Police Duty Commander Matthew Siekmann, a Phoenix Police Department officer in a marked Chevy Caprice patrol vehicle responding to a call for service, traveling westbound on Indian School Road through the 7th Avenue intersection, when he was struck by a southbound sedan driven by an adult female. The adult female refused to stop after the collision and was last seen fleeing southbound on 7th Avenue. Phoenix Fire Department personnel and several Phoenix police officers responded to the collision scene and tended to the involved officer. The officer was transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the collision. The injuries are non-life-threatening. A hard closure was established for north and southbound 7th Avenue, as well as a westbound closure for Indian School Road, while officers investigated the wreck.
