5. VARIOUS OF FOOTAGE FOLLOWING IMPLOSION BOGOTA, COLOMBIA - OCT. 12, 2025: A controlled implosion on Sunday, Oct. 12, brought down the bridges connecting Sixth Street, Las Americas, 13th Street, and 50th Avenue in Bogota, Colombia, marking a new phase in the city's traffic congestion.
The operation is part of Section 1 of the “La Nueva 13” project, a major infrastructure initiative aimed at improving traffic flow and transforming mobility in the southwestern part of the city.
The demolition was carried out safely and efficiently as part of efforts to modernize Bogota’s transportation network, which also includes the construction of the city’s first metro line.
Bogota has long faced severe traffic congestion, and the “La Nueva 13” project is expected to play a key role in easing commutes and enhancing urban connectivity once completed.
