On October 4 in Huguan County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, a female tourist slipped and fell off a cliff while taking photos at Yinggu Gorge, but was miraculously saved after clinging to vines. Other visitors quickly came to her rescue, twisting thermal blankets into makeshift ropes to pull her back to safety.

The accident occurred on a narrow viewing platform at the gorge, measuring just about one square meter. Rain had made the surface slippery, and the woman lost her footing, falling about 3 metres before grabbing onto the vines to keep from plunging further.

Fellow hikers reacted swiftly twisting thermal blankets into a rope, tying it to a rock, and throwing it down to her. Others kept her calm while coordinating the rescue.

After around 30 minutes of teamwork, the woman was safely pulled back up without serious injury.
