Fish seen catching ride on the back of turtle underwater
A fish amazed divers when it was seen hitching a ride on a sea turtle's back.
Footage shows a batfish resting on the marine reptile's shell as they swam together off Tioman Island in Pahang, Malaysia.
Tourist Yilyn Chan followed the pair gliding over coral reefs.
She joked: 'Who would have thought Grab services could exist underwater?'
Batfish sometimes ride on turtles to save energy or seek protection from predators. By staying close to a larger companion, the fish can move effortlessly through the water while remaining safer from threats.
