This is the heart-warming moment a grandma was surprised by her entire family at the airport ahead of a birthday trip to Egypt.

Stephanie, 29, helped organise a special 70th birthday getaway for her nan, Ruth, secretly inviting Ruth's two daughters and several grandchildren to join the trip.

Ruth's partner had told her they were going on holiday together without telling her that the family had planned to surprise her at London Gatwick Airport.

A video shows Ruth exiting a lift inside the airport to see the entire family waiting, leaving the 70-year-old in complete shock.

Stephanie, 29, from Oxford, Oxfordshire, said: "It was my idea to do a surprise birthday trip for her 70th! "

"Her partner told her he would take her away for her birthday on our direction and was sworn to secrecy to not mention the real plan. "

"She had no idea whatsoever and couldn't believe we were all there. "

"Everyone was there apart from one grandchild who couldn't make it."
