Woman spends $7k to turn front yard into pirate-themed Halloween spectacle
A woman has spent £3.7k ($7k CAD) turning her front yard into a Halloween spectacle.
Eve-Marie Veilleux, 24, has been building her Halloween collection over the past three years.
She spent about £1k ($2k CAD) on decorations in each of the first two years and this year she went even bigger, spending £1.6k ($3k CAD) on new additions.
Eve-Marie and six friends and family members spent more than two full days setting up the decoration this year.
She also curates a special walkthrough for local children, adding extra handmade elements to give them a fright.
The elaborate display, which features a full pirate theme on the lawn, has become a local attraction in Saint-Georges, Quebec, Canada.
Eve-Marie said: "The neighbours' kids watch us the entire time we're making it and call us the Halloween house!"
