US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield ATV Crash Leads to Helicopter Transport for Injured Patient
Bakersfield, United States - October 13, 2025 10/12/2025 11:13 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a single off-road RZR ATV crash that rolled approximately 15 feet down a hill. The Kern County Fire Department deployed Helicopter 409 to extract the patient from the scene and fly to where they met with other first responders near the intersection of Highway 58 and Highway 223. The patient was then transferred to Mercy Air 15, which transported them by helicopter to a hospital in Bakersfield. Authorities stated that drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the incident. The patient suffered extensive head injuries that necessitated the helicopter flight.
