US, Los Angeles: San Fernando Arcing Transformer Causes Power Outage
Los Angeles, United States - October 14, 2025 10/14/2025 12:05 am GMT-0700 SAN FERNANDO, Calif. – Los Angeles firefighters responded to a report of a transformer explosion on the 700 block of North Workman. Upon arrival, they located a transformer in the backyard of a residence that was actively arcing. The arcing transformer caused a nearby power pole to catch fire. Fire crews sprayed water on the transformer to extinguish the flames. Southern California Edison was requested to assist at the scene. As a result of the incident, the area around Glenoaks and Workman is without power. Additionally, the traffic light at the intersection of Glenoaks and Harding is not operating.
