In Pune’s Warje area, a shocking incident occurred where a thief forcibly snatched a woman’s gold mangalsutra from her neck under the pretext of buying items from a grocery shop.
The incident took place around 10 pm on October 10, inside a grocery store where two women were present. A man wearing a cap and mask entered the shop and asked one of the women for a milk packet. As he started taking money out of his wallet, one of the women got distracted scrolling on her phone. Seizing the opportunity, the man suddenly yanked the gold chain from her neck and ran away.
The two women chased after him, but he managed to escape swiftly.
This incident raises serious concerns about public safety and highlights the need for strict and effective policing to prevent such crimes. Authorities are urged to conduct a thorough investigation and take necessary action to ensure the safety of citizens.
