A funny wildlife moment unfolded when a particularly determined monkey tried to grab snacks straight from a moving car.

Jene Benitez Manantan, 47, was on a tour of the Rock of Gibraltar on October 7, 2025, when the hungry primate appeared at the vehicle's window, clearly on a mission for treats.

The monkey spent about a minute perched on the car's side mirror, stretching through the slightly open window, before finally grabbing a snack and running off with its prize.

Jene, from Dorking, Surrey, said: "It seemed like the monkey knew we had some treats in the car."

"We were all amazed and laughing at how eager it was. It was a very funny and friendly monkey."

"The way its paws were reaching out, it almost seemed like it was politely asking for a snack."

"We just offered it and it grabbed it happily. "

It was such a lovely and amusing moment."
