A quick-thinking mother rushed into the bedroom to save her son from falling onto the floor.

Alyssa Anne Kyle Terrobias woke up at 3 am to refill her water bottle when she returned she found her two-year-old son, Zion, on the verge of falling from the bed.

Footage shows Zion sleeping while tossing and turning in bed to remove the blanket covering him. His head was positioned at the edge of the bed, causing him to slide down slowly.

His mum saw him falling and swiftly dove in to catch the child in their home in Pampanga, the Philippines, in March 2022. After the fall, the toddler could be heard crying from shock.

Zion did not sustain any injuries because the blanket fell first, preventing his fall from being directed to the floor.

Alyssa said: 'I don't know if I got hurt. My attention was entirely focused on preventing Zion from falling. After that incident, he played as if nothing had happened.'
