This is the moment a pooch found himself in a sticky situation when he got stuck on a riverbed

Dog walker Farrah Fawcett, 39, sprang into action after calling for Jackson, a five-year-old Labrador, several times and getting no response.

Farrah rushed to the River Mole and found the anxious pup stranded in the water.

Farrah has been walking Jackson five days a week for the last four years, and she says he often finds himself in tricky situations such as this.

She first tried to get Jackson to climb out on his own, but as the pooch continued to struggle, she knew she had to step in.

She waded through the murky, waist-deep water, reached Jackson, and carefully lifted him out.

Farrah, a dog walker from Redhill, Surrey, said: "It was a bit nerve-wracking climbing in and not knowing the depth of the water. "

"But Jackson has a ligament issue on his front leg, making it more difficult to pull himself out, so I knew he needed help. "

"He looked quite anxious at first, but was clearly relieved and rather grateful after!"
