The Prince and Princess of Wales Visit New Fire Training Centre in Northern Ireland. The Prince and Princess of Wales made their first joint visit to Northern Ireland in three years. They visited the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service’s new training college in County Tyrone. The £50 million facility, which opened in May, is the largest investment in NIFRS history. The Princess of Wales, took part in a rope-throwing exercise led by trainee firefighters. Prince William and Catherine observed a live floodwater rescue demonstration. The couple met with new recruits, including Caoimhe McNeice and Piarais McCaffrey. The site includes a simulated village, rescue pool, and tactical training areas. The floodwater rescue simulator is one of only two of its kind worldwide. Their visit coincided with Fire Safety Week and highlighted the work of the fire service. This engagement marked their sixth joint trip to Northern Ireland since 2011. [Instructions: THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT]
