Eight-year-old Jax has captured hearts online after a TikTok video showed him experiencing colour in a whole new way. Diagnosed at age four with protanomaly and deuteranomaly—forms of red-green colour blindness—Jax had never truly seen colours like red, orange, purple, or pink. That changed when his parents gifted him a pair of EnChroma glasses.

To test the transformation, Jax was asked to separate M&Ms before and after putting on the glasses. Without them, the task was nearly impossible. But once he slipped them on, his reaction was immediate and joyful—he could finally distinguish red, orange, yellow, and green.

Jax is an 8 year old boy and when he was 4, he was diagnosed with color blindness, specifically protanomaly and deuteranomaly. We decided to research more on this and see if there was a way help him see the colorful world we live in, and we found Enchroma, a company that specializes in making glasses for the colorblind to help differentiate colors. We had jax separate mnms without the glasses, and then had them put the glasses on to see if he would be able to separate them correctly. After putting his new glasses on, he was able to see red, orange, yellow and green like he never has before. He didnt even know the colors orange, red, purple or pink and once he saw them we were able to teach him the names of the colors
