Los Angeles, United States - October 16, 2025 10/15/2025 07:09 pm GMT-0700 POMONA, Calif. – The Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Pomona Police Department received multiple 911 calls about a building collapse at an apartment complex on South Buena Vista Avenue in Pomona. Upon arrival, firefighters and officers discovered a partial collapse affecting a walkway and stairway of the six-unit apartment complex. Fortunately, no residents were injured in the incident. Firefighters, alongside Pomona police officers, red-tagged all six units and evacuated all residents from the building. They also requested assistance from the Department of Building and Safety as well as the Red Cross. The cause of the stairway and walkway collapse is currently unknown.
