Storyline: China opens first humanoid robot experience center [Voice_over] In eastern China’s Wuxi City, a humanoid robot experience center has opened, giving visitors a chance for up-close interactions with the futuristic technology. The center includes eight zones where robots perform different activities, like boxing, playing chess or cards, or housekeeping. One visitor said her young son got a kick out of it. [Sound_bite] Visitor: "We had a great time of fun here, especially that robot dog, I feel I can play with it for a whole day. The robot dog can help pick up packages and make other runs. It's really a high-tech thing." [Voice_over] China’s humanoid robot industry is expected to continue growing in the short and long term. Experts from China’s Center for Information Industry Development predict there will be more than 100 million humanoid robots in the country in the next twenty years, working in fields like elderly care, medical rehabilitation and retail. Globally, the industry’s value will be worth tens of billions. [Sound_bite] Zhong Xinlong, director, Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory, China Center for Information Industry Development: "The global humanoid robot market is expected to reach 154 billion U.S. dollars by 2035.
