VARIOUS OF TRUCKS CARRYING HUMANITARIAN AID ENTERING GAZA THROUGH KEREM SHALOM CROSSING / TRUCKS, CARRYING AID, CRUISING ON ROADGAZA, PALESTINE - OCT. 16, 2025: Following the cease-fire and prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and Hamas, limited humanitarian aid continued to reach the Gaza Strip Thursday, Oct. 16. Aid trucks carrying food supplies from the World Central Kitchen (WCK) entered Gaza through the Kerem Shalom border crossing. The recently achieved ceasefire in the enclave has created an opportunity to deliver aid more sustainably and in greater quantities. A ceasefire agreement was reached between Israel and Hamas last week, based on a plan presented by US President Donald Trump. Phase one included the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. The plan also envisages the rebuilding of Gaza and establishment of a new governing mechanism without Hamas. Since October 2023, Israeli attacks have killed nearly 68,000 Palestinians in the enclave, most of them women and children, and rendered it largely uninhabitable.
