6. PROTESTERS POSING IN FRONT OF BUNDESTAG BERLIN, GERMANY - OCT. 16: Protesters gathered in front of the Bundestag in Berlin on Thursday, Oct. 16, to demonstrate against the German government’s proposed “Military Service Modernization Act” (WDModG).

The protest came with the first parliamentary debate on the draft law, which aims to reform the country’s military service system.

Demonstrators demanded the withdrawal of the bill, symbolically tearing up mock copies of the draft law and military service letters to protest the proposal.

Carrying banners and a symbolic balloon depicting hands breaking a gun, participants delivered speeches, danced, and staged mock military exercises to voice their opposition to the proposal.
