SLOVAK PRIME MINISTER ROBERT FICO STANDINGKOSICE, SLOVAKIA - OCT. 17: The Slovak and Ukrainian governments held a joint meeting Friday, Oct. 17, at the Historical Town Hall in Kosice to discuss bilateral cooperation on foreign affairs, cross-border transport, and energy collaboration. Talks also focused on defense industry cooperation, Ukraine’s postwar reconstruction, EU integration, and partnerships in agriculture and education. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump is set to host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House later Friday. Trump said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin plan to discuss ending the war in Ukraine at an upcoming Budapest summit, though the date has not yet been announced.
