VARIOUS OF CHARITY WORKERS EVACUATING REGION UNDER ATTACK, FEEDING STRAY ANIMALS KOSTIANTYNIVKA, UKRAINE - OCT. 18: Russian forces continued their assault on the eastern Ukrainian town of Kostiantynivka on Saturday, Oct. 18, with repeated airstrikes, artillery fire, mortar attacks, and FPV drone raids targeting residential areas.

The attacks damaged several apartment buildings and other civilian infrastructure. Local officials reported that residents who have chosen to remain in the town are increasingly vulnerable to deadly strikes.

Kostiantynivka, located in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, has faced near-daily bombardments as Russian forces intensify efforts to push deeper into the front line.
