Dozens of residents gathered peacefully outside St. Augustine’s historic Castillo de San Marcos on October 18, 2025, joining the renewed wave of “No Kings” demonstrations across the United States.
Wearing yellow and waving American flags, participants held signs defending education, democracy, and civil rights while denouncing fascism and authoritarian rule.
The rally is part of the second nationwide “No Kings” movement, following June’s massive turnout that organizers claimed drew over 5 million people.
This latest round includes more than 2,500 rallies nationwide, all unified under the same message — that America was founded without monarchs, and must never accept a “king” in government.
