Birth in the Palm of a Hand
The camera focused on an incubated egg resting peacefully in a human hand. The tiny beak pecked a perfect circle of cracks around the middle of the shell. With determined effort, the baby quail used its body to push against the weakened shell. The egg suddenly split open, revealing the wet and newborn quail inside. This magical moment of life emerging right in the hand was both breathtaking and deeply moving.
