Clinton, United States - October 19, 2025 On the morning of October 19, 2025, Clinton Police Department officers responded to a local gas station after a woman called for help, reporting she had been assaulted and prevented from leaving. Officers approached a second individual involved in the incident, who refused to exit their vehicle despite repeated commands. The situation escalated when the suspect put the vehicle in reverse, striking a Clinton Police Officer and sending them flying over the cruiser’s hood. A pursuit followed, ending when the suspect crashed into Truman Lake. The individual fled on foot into the water but was quickly detained by officers.
