Funny moment family realise the dog ate their takeaway after it was left outside
This was the moment a family caught their dog eating their takeaway burgers after the delivery driver left the food outside their house.
A'Teha Day, 35, captured the moment she realised two-year-old pooch King Beastie devoured their order.
Her husband, Steve Barker, 37, had ordered dinner for the family on Sunday (October 19) and noticed it was taking longer than usual.
After tracking showed it had been delivered, A'Teha went outside and discovered their British Bulldog had already eaten nearly all of it.
The bag of food was strewn across the front garden as A'Teha and her children gawped at the remnants of what their demolished dinner.
A'Teha, based in Manly, Queensland, Australia, said: "I was shocked when I first saw what happened, but thought it was funny."
"Normally on a Sunday we'll get a takeaway and whilst we wait I breastfeed and try put our five month old to sleep while my husband swims the kids in the pool."
"He usually times it to meet the UberEats driver at the gate, but this time it didn't work out that way."
"We all lost track of time and by the time my husband checked his phone, it was too late."
The family simply ordered another set of burgers and fries, but kept a closer eye on the tracking the next time.
A'Teha said: "We just laughed and ordered more burgers."
"We didn't really think there was much else we could do but laugh and get the kids fed again. "
"In this situation I don't think anyone's really to blame- the UberEats driver probably didn't even realise there was a dog."
