The crash involved a Prius driven by an individual who was treated and released at the scene. That driver was reportedly cooperating with authorities. The incident also resulted in damage to a Los Angeles Police Department vehicle, particularly in the rear. Firefighters had to cut open the trunk to recover belongings, including bags and a less-lethal shotgun. It remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. Officials are investigating.
