US, Los Angeles: North Hollywood Crash Involves Big Rig Traps Driver In Sedan
Los Angeles, United States - October 22, 2025 10/22/2025 01:55 am GMT-0700 NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A big rig was parked on the shoulder of the southbound 170 Freeway, just beneath the 101 interchange, when the driver, who was asleep in the cab, awoke to a vehicle colliding with his trailer. A white sedan had crashed into the trailer, pinning the driver inside the vehicle. Multiple resources, including Urban Search and Rescue teams, were dispatched to the scene. First responders successfully extricated the driver from the sedan. The driver's condition is currently unknown, and the reason for the crash is still under investigation. As a result of the incident, the California Highway Patrol closed all southbound lanes of the 170 near the 101 transition.
