This was the moment a man battled dramatic 150 km/h winds on top of Europe's tallest sand dune during Storm Benjamin.

Alexis Berthelot, 23, an avid weather enthusiast, travelled to the Dune du Pilat on the Atlantic coast of southwestern France to document the storm.

The Dune du Pilat is a massive sand dune located on the Atlantic coast of southwestern Franc.

It is the tallest dune in Europe, rising to around 110 meters high, stretching approximately 2.7 kilometers long.

Dramatic footage shows whipping winds at the peak of the dune and a fellow videographer struggling to stay upright as sand swirled around them.

Alexis, a recent graduate from Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, said: "I've always been very passionate about extreme weather phenomena. "

"I keep an eye out for every storm and severe thunderstorm. "

"This time, I headed to the top of the Dune du Pilat, located in southwestern France, to face Storm Benjamin. "

"I was able to measure winds of 150 km/h and gave my all to capture these videos."
