US: Police Cruiser Runs Over Woman, Killing Her After Hit-And-Run In Hybla Valley
Hybla Valley, United States - September 23, 2025 Trina Jones, 62, of Alexandria, Virginia, was tragically run over by a responding police cruiser on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, after surviving an initial hit-and-run, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. Jones was crossing Richmond Highway at Belford Drive when a black Mercedes struck her and fled the scene. At 8:39 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, a responding officer’s marked cruiser ran over Jones. Video footage captures the horrifying moment she was run over on the roadway. Medics with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department attempted life-saving measures, but Jones was pronounced dead shortly after at a nearby hospital. Police are searching for a 2016 black Mercedes C300 believed to have caused the initial collision. Both administrative and criminal investigations are underway regarding the officer involved in running over Jones.
