Dimona, Israel . The African Hebrew Israelite Community, known as the Village of Peace, celebrated its annual New World Passover in Dimona, bringing together members and visitors for a week of music, dance, and vegan cuisine.

Founded in the late 1960s by spiritual leader Benyamin Ben Ammi, the community settled in Israel’s Negev Desert as part of a spiritual return to the ancestral homeland. Over the years, the group has become a distinct part of Israel’s multicultural landscape.

The celebration reflects the community’s commitment to peace, health, and coexistence. Known for its 100% vegan lifestyle and reputation as a crime-free, health-conscious society, the Village of Peace continues to serve as a model of communal living in modern Israel.
