Phoenix, United States - October 25, 2025 10/25/2025 12:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to Arizona Department of Public Safety officials at the scene, troopers and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of I-10 near the 12th Street overpass. Troopers arrived to find an unidentified pedestrian in the number 5 lane with multiple vehicles stopped on the shoulder nearby. Phoenix FD crews arrived a short time later and pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. Information gathered in the early stages of the investigation suggests that the pedestrian was initially struck by an eastbound Nissan Altima. An unknown number of additional vehicles then struck the body following the initial collision. Troopers and ADOT crews established a partial closure for the eastbound I-10, affecting the number 4 and 5 lanes, spanning 7th Street to the 12th Street overpass.
