In Mozambique's Gaza Province, a drone hums steadily above the green fields of an agricultural park jointly built by China and Africa. With a preset route and a single press of a button, the drone takes off, spraying herbicide onto crops along its programmed path - a vivid example of how China-Africa cooperation is driving agricultural modernization across the continent. Staff at the park say the drone-based spraying operation marks a leap in efficiency. Compared with traditional manual spraying, a single plant-protection drone can cover more than 6.7 hectares of farmland per hour, greatly improving productivity. The agricultural park is part of a broader China-Africa agricultural cooperation project that has introduced drones to a wide range of field operations, including land mapping, rice seeding, and herbicide spraying. Beyond technological upgrades, China-Africa cooperation in agriculture is also improving the lives of local communities. Under the guidance of Chinese agricultural experts, many Mozambicans have received hands-on training in modern planting techniques.
