The Hamas issued a statement in the early hours of Sunday summarizing the latest briefing by its chief negotiator, Khalil Al-Hayya, on the cease-fire in the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian situation there. Al-Hayya stated that Hamas accepts the deployment of United Nations forces to act as separation forces, border monitors, and monitors of the ceasefire in Gaza. He said Hamas' disarmament is still being discussed with the factions and mediators.
