Footage has emerged showing a helicopter rescue of a man stranded on Mount Ishizuchi, Japan.

The video, captured on Sunday, shows the man being winched to safety after he sprained his ankle while trying to ascend the mountain.

According to the filmer, the man was 'feeling dizzy', and not able to move any further, so decided to call for an emergency helicopter.

2 of the climbers wanted to descent the north face of Mt. Ishizuchi in Japan. One of them sprained his ankle. He was feeling dizzy and was not able to get down on his own power. So he decided to call in the helicopter rescue. The crew had arrived in about 20 min and extracted him within 3 min. Very professional and fast performance. The hover at 1982m on a hot day was also difficult but performed flawlessly.
