Schoolboy in moving wings costume cries fearing he might fly away
A schoolboy burst into tears after believing the wings on his costume would lift him off the ground.
Four-year-old Fritz Gray Salvador was testing his Greek god-inspired outfit for a school event when the battery-powered wings suddenly flapped in Rizal, the Philippines.
Footage shows the child sobbing and tightly holding his mother's hands, terrified that the mechanism would carry him into the air.
He tried to calm down but the wings kept moving, which made him even more scared.
Aunt Moyrha Zonio comforted him in the video, saying: ‘Oh, look at your wings. They are beautiful. Wow. Do not be scared, you will not fly. Let go now, please.'
Fritz hugged his mother and continued crying for nearly an hour before realising the wings were not real.
Moyrha added: ‘We made sure the outfit fit him properly. One of my friends who helped me joked that he would fly to heaven once the wings started moving, so he held on to his mother.'
