This is the amusing moment cartoon character mascots raced along a road.

Inflatable Pikachu and Stitch competed on Session Road in Benguet, the Philippines, delighting crowds with their head-to-head sprint during a costume festival.

Footage captured by Decerei Gonzales shows the Disney character and the yellow Pokemon zigzagging toward a mini hurdle on October 26.

Spectators could be heard cheering and laughing as the mascots navigated the course.

Pikachu eventually took the lead and crossed the finish line first, while Stitch waddled to the end looking disappointed at the loss.

Decerei said: 'We were heading home from church when we passed by Session Road. We stopped to watch Stitch and Pikachu. They were so amusing to watch, and it gave us good vibes the whole day.'

Stitch is a mischievous blue alien from Disney's 2002 film Lilo & Stitch and remains one of the studio's most popular modern animated characters.

Meanwhile, Pikachu is the iconic mascot of Japan's Pokémon franchise, created by The Pokemon Company, and has become a global sensation since debuting in the 1996 video games and animated series.
