An adult female gorilla looked completely unimpressed as her daughter and niece wreaked havoc around her.

Lucie Štěpničková captured the funny moment of parental disapproval at Prague Zoo.

The video shows Kijivu - mother to Modi and aunt to Gaia - rolling her eyes and resting her head in her hands as the young gorillas run circles around her.

Both less than two years old, Modi and Gaia can be seen zooming around like toddlers, while Kijivu looks thoroughly unimpressed.

Lucie, a saleswoman, from Prague, said: "It's so funny seeing the little ones get excited, especially when the adults just want a moment of peace. "

"Modi is already showing she'll be the boss one day. "

"Watching Kijivu reminded me so much of humans - parents quietly watching their kids wear themselves out!"

The video was filmed in August this year.
