1. VARIOUS OF TURKISH AIR FORCE F-16 JETS AND ROYAL AIR FORCE EUROFIGHTER TYPHOONS ANKARA, TÜRKİYE - OCT. 27, 2025: Turkish Air Force F-16 jets escorted Royal Air Force Eurofighter Typhoons, on Monday, Oct. 27, as they entered Turkish airspace during the visit of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the country's defense ministry announced.

In a statement, the Turkish Defense Ministry said three Eurofighter jets from the United Kingdom arrived in Türkiye as part of Starmer’s official visit.

Starmer is paying an official visit to Ankara at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Starmer and Erdogan signed a Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet cooperation agreement in Ankara on Monday, marking a new milestone in bilateral defense relations.

President Erdogan described the agreement as a "new sign of Türkiye-UK strategic relations," asserting that it will pave the way for joint defense projects.

“I thank Prime Minister Starmer and his team for the work carried out by the UK within the Eurofighter Consortium throughout the process. I also express my appreciation to the leaders of other allied countries in the consortium for their constructive approach,” he added.

Speaking at a joint news conference, Starmer said: “This will bolster security across NATO, deepen our bilateral defense cooperation, and boost economic growth here and in the United Kingdom, securing 20,000 British jobs, building these state-of-the-art fighter jets.”

Turkish National Defense Minister Yasar Guler said Türkiye is planning to acquire Eurofighter Typhoons from several countries, including 20 from the UK and 12 each from Qatar and Oman.
