Sud emphasized the company’s commitment to keeping its streaming service free and accessible. “When other platforms are raising prices, Tubi stands out by giving people greater access to choice and diversity,” she said. Senator Wiener thanked Tubi for expanding its presence in San Francisco despite recent challenges. “This city is on the rise. Thank you for believing in San Francisco,” he said. Mayor Lurie underlined that public safety and economic growth remain his administration’s top priorities. “We are making progress, and I’m pleased with the investment and confidence shown in our city,” he said. Founded in 2014 and acquired by Fox Corporation in 2020, Tubi is a US-based, free, ad-supported streaming platform that offers thousands of movies and TV shows.
