Los Angeles, United States - October 28, 2025 10/28/2025 01:40 am GMT-0700 SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys units responded to the 4500 block of Hazeltine Avenue after a female reported a male had broken into her apartment. While officers were en route, the woman reported hearing the suspect inside her apartment while she hid in an adjacent room. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect was attempting to break into the room where she was hiding. Officers made entry and quickly took the suspect into custody. However, the suspect briefly escaped from officers during a search but was apprehended again shortly after. The woman was not injured during the incident.
