Storyline: At least 63 people, including 24 children, have been killed in Israel's new round of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since Tuesday, with several others buried under the rubble, according to statistics released by Gaza's health authorities early Wednesday. Following what Israel said violations of the ceasefire by Hamas, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the military to carry out "immediate and powerful" strikes in Gaza on Tuesday. The Israel Defense Forces attacked multiple areas including Nuseirat and Deir al-Balah in the central, Khan Yunis in the south, and Gaza City in the north. Hamas denied violating the truce deal and accused the Israeli military of blatantly violating the ceasefire with its attacks. The media office in the Palestinian enclave stated Tuesday that since the ceasefire took effect on Oct 10, Israel has violated the agreement approximately 125 times, resulting in at least 94 deaths and 344 injuries. Violations include firing at civilians, conducting airstrikes, crossing the "yellow line" into residential areas, demolishing civilian buildings, and arresting civilians in various locations, according to the statement. The statement called on the relevant parties to pressure Israel to stop violating the agreement. Earlier on Tuesday, Israel said the remains delivered by Hamas Monday night were body parts belonging to a hostage whose body had already been recovered by the Israeli army around two years ago. The announcement said that this move constituted a "clear violation" of the current agreement and attributed the responsibility to Hamas. Shotlist: Gaza City, Gaza Strip - Oct 20, 2025: 1.
