The incident occurred on Issıkgol Street in Mevlana neighborhood, prompting the dispatch of police, fire, and medical teams to the scene. Governor Ilhami Aktas said in a live television broadcast that the cause of the building’s collapse has not yet been determined, noting that search and rescue operations remain the top priority. He stated that initial reports suggest five people — all members of the same family — are trapped under the debris.
