Indonesia: High tides flood northern coast of Java, Indonesia
-NORTH JAVA, INDONESIA — OCT. 29, 2025: Residential areas in Indonesia’s North Java province were flooded due to high tides on Wednesday, Oct. 29. The rising water levels during the high tide negatively affected the daily lives of locals in Eretan Wetan village. Approximately 20 of 50 households continue to live in their homes despite the damage caused by floods that have occurred intermittently over the past 11 years. In some areas, water levels reached up to 1.1 meters (nearly 4 feet), making the village one of the most at-risk areas for flooding above the average daily tide level.
