A man stood by a riverbank, performing the ancient Chinese art of "striking iron flowers". He used a wooden paddle to scoop up molten iron and then struck it forcefully against a board. Instantly, the superheated metal erupted into a spectacular shower of golden sparks. Thousands of bright, burning droplets flew through the air, creating a breathtaking artificial meteor shower against the dark sky. The glowing sparks reflected beautifully on the surface of the river below, doubling the magnificent effect. This dangerous yet beautiful tradition, dating back centuries, transformed the night into a scene from a fantasy epic.
