China: Heartwarming video shows giant panda cubs in tender interactions
A recently-released video captured heartwarming scenes of tender interactions between fluffy giant panda cubs at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Sichuan Province, southwest China. In the video's opening segment, three panda cubs are lying on a wooden platform, their chubby bellies pressed against the board. One fluffy body sprawls lazily atop another, swiveling its tiny head with wide-eyed curiosity. In the subsequent segment, one cub waddles unsteadily toward another. The pair lock eyes for several seconds, their black noses nearly touching. Born this year, the giant panda cubs, with plump limbs and expressions of gentle bewilderment, turn every wobble and wiggle into irresistible charm. The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a world-renowned center for the ex-situ conservation of giant pandas. It also serves as a hub for scientific research, public education, and ecotourism. The institution is internationally recognized for its contributions to the protection and breeding of giant pandas, red pandas and other endangered wildlife species native to China. Shotlist: Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, southwest China - Sept 25, 2025: 1. Giant panda cubs on wooden platform, one lying atop another; 2. Giant panda cub waddling toward another.
