Video shared by X user Rugged Trails Nepal on October 29, 2025, shows the aftermath of an Altitude Air helicopter crash in the snowbound village of Lobuche. The pilot, flying solo, survived without injuries, and no passengers were on board.

The clip reveals deep snow blanketing rocky terrain near a remote teahouse, where the helicopter’s fuselage lies half-buried on a slope. Its blue tail is crumpled, and rotor blades are twisted and bent, debris scattered and coated in white powder.

Trekkers and locals dressed in dark winter gear wade through knee- to waist-deep snow, pulling sleds and snowboards toward the wreckage. Around a dozen people gather near the damaged tail section, some climbing over it while others form a human chain to search the area.

Wind-driven snow lashes the scene as visibility fades, the towering Himalayan peaks hidden in a whiteout. A brief update posted afterward confirmed the outcome in simple terms: “all safe.”
