US, Los Angeles: Valley Village Fire Claims Life In Apartment Blaze With Sound On Tape

Los Angeles, United States - October 30, 2025 10/30/2025 10:30 am GMT-0700 VALLEY VILLAGE, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – One person was found dead following a fire at an apartment building in the San Fernando Valley Thursday morning. Officials with the Los Angeles Fire Department reported that the fire broke out just before 10:30 a.m. at a two-story, garden-style apartment building on the block of 11900 W. Kling Street in Valley Village, near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Radford Avenue. A crew of 44 firefighters conducted an offensive operation to extinguish the fire in a first-floor unit. During their search, firefighters discovered a person inside the apartment, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. Firefighters successfully prevented the fire from spreading to nearby units, allowing all surviving residents to return to their apartments. The name of the victim has not been released, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation by LAFD Arson investigators.
