VARIOUS AERIAL SHOTS OF BRIDGE OVER VOLCHYA RIVER BEING HIT POKROVSKOYE, DNIPROPETROVSK REGION, UKRAINE (RELEASED ON OCT. 31, 2025) (USERS MUST CREDIT “RUSSIAN DEFENSE MINISTRY” HANDOUT, MUST NOT OBSCURE LOGO —EDITORIAL USE ONLY) The Russian military announced on Friday, Oct. 31, that it has destroyed a road bridge over the Volchya River near the village of Pokrovskoye in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Region.

According to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, the move was aimed at disrupting Ukrainian military logistics in the area.

"To ensure the successful operations of Russian military units near the village of Pokrovskoye in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, to disrupt the supply of weapons, military equipment, ammunition, and supplies, and prevent the arrival of Ukrainian military personnel to compensate for enemy losses, the command decided to eliminate the road bridge over the Volchya River in this area," the ministry said.

The strike was carried out by a crew of the Russian Aerospace Forces using air-launched weapons. The Defense Ministry stated that the bridge was rendered inoperable following the attack, a claim it said was confirmed by real-time monitoring footage.

The structure was described by the ministry as being used by Ukrainian forces for transportation.

There has been no immediate independent verification or comment from Ukrainian authorities on the reported bridge destruction.
