Abbas Atwi, head of the Civil Defense Center in Nabatieh, said the strike “directly targeted” the vehicle, adding that there were “severely wounded individuals” and that emergency teams were working swiftly to transport the dead and injured to hospitals.

Under the ceasefire, the Israeli army was supposed to withdraw from southern Lebanon this January, but it only partially pulled out and continues to maintain a military presence at five border outposts.
